There will be a cost to accepting AI in terms of existing and potential contributors lost. As a mod I have been asked why I don’t stop AI-positive framings as CoC violations, considering the incredible harm AI use and rollout have done. I see a lot of negative reporting of projects going all in on AI, and at most some praise on posts about rejecting AI fully. Even deep in the comments on the “reject AI” posts I see nothing about [people] stopping [contributing] because of it.
